Switching From Flighty to FlightyFlow: A Step-by-Step Guide
How to migrate your trips, alerts, and Live Activities from Flighty to FlightyFlow without losing notifications or history.
Why switch
Pricing, free-tier generosity, calmer UI. Or just curiosity.
Step 1: Pin your active trips in FlightyFlow
You don't need to delete Flighty first. Pin each upcoming flight in FlightyFlow either by:
- Forwarding your itinerary email to trips@flightyflow.com (no account required).
- Adding a boarding pass to Apple Wallet — FlightyFlow detects it and offers to pin.
- Searching by flight number.
Step 2: Mirror your notification setup
In FlightyFlow → Settings → Notifications, enable:
- Status changes.
- Gate change.
- Delay > 15 minutes.
- Cancellation.
- Bag carousel hint (Premium).
Step 3: Add the Lock Screen widget
Long-press the Lock Screen → Customize → Add the FlightyFlow rectangular widget. The Live Activity will take over automatically a few hours before each departure.
Step 4: Run both apps for one trip
There's no penalty for parallel operation. Use both on a single trip and compare:
- Notification timing.
- Predictive delay accuracy.
- Live Activity polish.
Step 5: Disable Flighty notifications when you're ready
Settings → Notifications → Flighty → Allow Notifications: OFF. Optionally cancel the subscription via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Frequently asked
Can I import trips from Flighty into FlightyFlow?+
