PHX Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Guide for 2026
T3 vs T4, the PHX Sky Train, the desert summer cooling break for ground crews, lounges, and how to track every PHX flight in 2026.
Quick facts
Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX / KPHX) is one of the largest American Airlines hubs in the western US.
- Terminals: T3 (Delta, JetBlue, Alaska, Frontier, Hawaiian, Spirit, others) and T4 (American — by far the largest, plus Southwest, United, international)
- PHX Sky Train: automated, free, links T3 ↔ T4 ↔ Rental Car ↔ 44th St light-rail station
- Time zone: America/Phoenix (MST, no DST)
Summer ops note
Phoenix exceeds 110°F regularly in summer. The airport ground stop limit is 118°F for some regional jets. If your flight is on a CRJ-200/CRJ-700 in late June, watch for temperature-driven weight restrictions and weather delays.
Lounges
- American Admirals Club (T4) — three locations, the C concourse one is largest.
- Centurion Lounge (T4) — modern, often crowded.
- Delta Sky Club (T3).
